About

Informing and Entertaining since 1982

It has truly been a blessing to be the trusted voice of our listeners over the years. Floyd County Broadcasting began broadcasting at 1440 AM back in 1982 before moving to our current home on the radio dial at 100.1 FM.

We’re proud to be the last of a dying breed. WMDJ is always LIVE and LOCAL throughout our broadcasting day, with live radio host hand-picking the hits you hear daily. The best music in the world for the best folks in the world – we’re the lucky ones living in the hills and hollers of eastern Kentucky.
